Day 6 - Tuesday 27th May, 2008

We all got up at 3.30am to leave to catch the ferry @ 6am to Savaii. Besides being pretty tired, Mum and Taf were sick and a few of the family had upset tummies. When we got to the other side, everyone was tired and sick of travelling and just wanted to head straight to Tanu Beach Fale @ Manase (where we stayed for the night). This place was another hours drive. We did no sight seeing but apparently Savaii is a beautiful island with the best beaches. Tanu Beach Fale for adults was SAT$50 incl. accommodation (open house with mattress & mosquito netting), dinner, breakfast and their fiafia night. You are better off bringing food supplies from Apia as their shops here are expensive! It was a great experience and a taste of how locals live minus the mattress!
